主在印度的行動 - 錫隆 Shillong

The Lord's Move in India- Shillong, India Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya state is a Christian populated city. The testimony in the city is not yet established. The nearest church is the church in Guwahati which is 100km away from Shillong (3.5 hours hilly journey). Some saints went for propagation in Shillong on Jan 15 th -16 th . The following is the testimony of what the Lord has done through the coordination of the saints in the Body. “We distributed used books- HWMR standing at important juncture in the city and also from house to house. 450 used books were distributed within four hours. We could come in contact with few seeking Christians during the distribution. The Lord opened the way to have a small group meeting with three seeking Christian families. We shared our testimony with the emphasis on Christ being the life-giving Spirit mingled with our spirit. They were all impressed with the truth. They asked us to visit again to share the truth. The 3 new ones who were baptized in Guwahati recently were contacted in Shillong during the book distribution. Three hundred names were gathered all indicating that they would like to know more about the bible, our literature and about what we have to share with them. One day as the Lord leads we will return to that city and contact many from the list. We believe the Lord will gain some precious materials for the lampstand in that city. Here is a testimony about one family that received the used books in Shillong. The family consists of father, mother and daughter (attending University of Guwahati - MA in Political Science) received the books with overwhelming thanksgiving and joy. They also fervently desired that we would visit them at their home in Guwahati. Several days later we visited them. The father of the family had been reading and devouring the books ever since the day he received them. The entire family (Hindu background) received the Lord in a dynamic way, with tears of joy. They then assisted us to prepare for their baptism. It was a joyful and touching experience to see this dear family transferred into the kingdom of the Son of His love. Now the family has a weekly home meeting and they joyfully attend the Lord's Table meeting with the church in Guwahati. Praise the Lord for how He has blessed His move in His universal body.” |
